PhrasiGo ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we process and why, when you use the PhrasiGo mobile app ("App").

Information You Provide

When you use the App, you may provide:

  • User-created phrases for learning
  • Optional voice recordings for speaking practice

How We Use Information

Information you provide is used to:

  • Generate translations and audio pronunciation
  • Run practice sessions (speaking, listening, translation modes)
  • Track gamification metrics (XP, streaks, stats)
  • Deliver enabled notifications and reminders

Device Storage

Your phrases, progress, and downloaded audio are stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This supports offline functionality. We do not have servers that store your data.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services to function:

  • Translation & Text-to-Speech providers (e.g., Google Cloud) — to translate your phrases and generate audio pronunciation. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Speech-to-Text transcription services — for speech recognition during speaking practice. Audio recordings are sent for transcription and are not stored.
  • Notification delivery (Expo/device services) — to deliver reminders if enabled.

We do not sell your personal data.

Microphone Permission

The App requests microphone permission for speaking practice exercises. Audio is only recorded when you actively press the microphone button. You can revoke microphone access at any time through your device settings.

Data Retention

Content stored on your device persists until you delete it. Third-party data processing is limited to what each service requires to provide its functionality.

Security

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use reasonable protective measures to safeguard your information.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address the issue.
