PhrasiGo (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we process and why, when you use the PhrasiGo mobile app (“App”).

Information you provide

Your phrases: the sentences you add for learning.
Voice input (optional): if you use speaking practice, the App records audio to transcribe your speech.

How we use information

To generate translations and pronunciation audio for your phrases.
To run practice sessions (speaking, listening, translation) and show results.
To calculate gamification progress (XP, streaks, and related stats).
To send reminders if you enable notifications.

Device storage

Your phrases, progress, and downloaded audio may be stored locally on your device so the App can work smoothly (including offline access to previously generated content).

Third-party services

The App may send limited data to third-party providers to deliver core features:

Translation & Text-to-Speech (e.g., Google Cloud): we send text you choose to translate or pronounce.
Speech-to-Text (e.g., transcription providers): if you use speaking practice, we send your recorded audio for transcription.
Notifications (Expo / device services): used only to deliver reminders you enable.

These providers process data to provide the requested service. We do not sell your personal data.

Microphone permission

Microphone access is used only for speaking practice. You can deny or revoke this permission in your device settings.

Data retention

Content stored on your device remains there until you delete it (e.g., removing phrases or clearing app storage). Data sent to third-party services is limited to what is required to perform the requested action.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect data in transit and on-device. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
